In April, the iPhone 6 Plus was added to Apple's list of obsolete products. This designation means the end of official repairs for this model, which was released in 2014. Apple categorizes its products as "vintage" five years after they are no longer sold, and "obsolete" seven years after.

The iPhone 7 Plus was officially classified as vintage on Wed, May 21, 2025. Released in September 2016, this model introduced the first dual-camera system in an iPhone, offering 2x optical zoom and a Portrait mode for professional background blur in photos. It also marked a significant change by removing the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack, speeding up the adoption of wireless headphones.
