Asset sales are lagging, and a social plan has been initiated to reduce workforce in declining areas. Leadership remains volatile with a seventh CEO in four years.
Netflix is shifting its focus from subscriber acquisition to attracting advertisers, with 94 million active users on its ad-supported offering, a 20 million increase over six months. Priced at $7.99, this model aims to capture advertising budgets, positioning Netflix as a premium media platform with high engagement among 18-34 year-olds, competing with linear TV and social platforms.
