Spiko Raises €18.5 Million to Activate Corporate Treasury

On Thu, Jul 17, 2025, Spiko announced the completion of a €18.5 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Index Ventures with participation from White Star Capital, Frst, Rerail, Bpifrance Digital Venture, and Blockwall. The funding also attracted individual investors from the fintech sector, including Nikolay Storonsky, Jean-Luc Robert, Zach Abrams, Harsh Sinha, Lionel Assant, and the founders of Pennylane.

Founded in 2024, Spiko aims to democratize access to institutional money market funds in Europe. The platform allows companies, including SMEs, to invest excess cash in daily-yielding vehicles backed by short-term public securities such as French or American treasury bills. Unlike traditional banking products, Spiko offers instant subscription, full liquidity, and daily interest payments.

Spiko's infrastructure includes a novel tokenization mechanism, eliminating traditional intermediaries, reducing costs, and facilitating 24/7 liquidity transfers. Subscriptions and redemptions can be made in both fiat and stablecoins with instant conversion.

In its first year, Spiko reports managing over €300 million in assets and handling subscription and redemption flows nearing €800 million, without a sales team. The company has a monthly growth rate of 20% since January 2025 and serves approximately 1,000 corporate clients. Spiko is expanding through API integrations with fintech partners such as Memo Bank and Fygr.

Spiko operates in a relatively unstructured European market. Competitors like TreasurySpring focus on large enterprises without offering daily remuneration or tokenized infrastructure. In France, solutions like Agicap and Fygr provide cash flow forecasting but lack automatic investment features. Spiko differentiates itself by combining institutional-quality monetary instruments, daily interest payments, tokenized flows, and API-first integration, creating a unique financial solution for active corporate treasury management.

Publicité

Spiko was founded by Antoine Michon, former advisor at the Ministry of Public Transformation, and Paul-Adrien Hyppolite, former economist at the General Directorate of the Treasury. The company is based in Paris and London. The recent funding round increases the total capital raised to over €20 million since its inception.
